For years Jon Flood has dealt with sweltering summers and bone-chilling winters in his drafty, century-old home.

Soon the Fond du Lac resident will no longer dread the extreme Wisconsin temperatures - or his energy bill - when he moves into a new, super-insulated home on Fourth Street Road east of the city.

Although still under construction, the one-story home with the gamboled roof line has already attracted much attention thanks to the sign outside claiming it's the "House of the Future." ...
