Like them? Love them? Hate them? No matter how you feel about them, roundabouts are here to stay and are due to open soon in Fond du Lac. Are you prepared to navigate them correctly? The Fond du Lac Area Safety Council is hosting a program on roundabout safety on Thursday, Oct. 3 and the public is invited to attend.

This program will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3, with registration and appetizers at 4:15 p.m. The program taking place from 5 to 6 p.m. at Agnesian HealthCare - Plaza Level Conference Center (430 E. Division St.). Open to the public, registration is required. Reservations must be received by Friday, Sept. 27. Cancellations accepted 48 hours in advance. Cost for the program is $20 for Safety Council members; $25 for AC members; and $30 general admission. Visit www.fdlac.com to register or call (920) 921-9500.

Driving through an intersection can go from a relatively simple task to a fatal incident in a heartbeat. To help lessen the probability of a serious incident, some intersections are being redesigned into the newest form of an intersection in the U.S., roundabouts. They are making their way into the Fond du Lac area and can be a challenge to learn if you don't completely understand them.
