Students chowed down on more than 1,000 pounds of locally grown watermelon during Back-to-School-Nights at eight Wood County elementary schools during the last week of August. The Marshfield football team even cooled down with the sweet treat after one of their early season practices.

Now that the kids are back in swarms around school cafeterias, they'll be glad to know their menus are loaded with even more healthy, locally grown produce.
