The Wausau West High School Band and the north central Wisconsin rock band HYDE will present BANDSTOCK 2013 on Oct. 5.

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Wausau West, 1200 W. Wausau Ave. The two bands will collaborate on a variety of rock hits spanning several decades, and they'll perform songs from artists such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Bruno Mars.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. They are available at the Wausau West business office, 715-261-0580. Proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships for private lessons, new instruments, repairs and other items that support student musical learning. For more information, call Charlene Kennebeck, the Wausau West band director at 715-261-0850 or email her at ckennebe@wausauschools.org.
