Lincoln Center offers classes and activities for older adults. The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Portage County is a one-stop resource for services for seniors, adults with disabilities, their families and caregivers. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information, call 715-346-1401 or 866-920-2525 or go to www.co.portage.wi.us/adrc.

The Loss of Spouse Support group meets from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Lincoln Center. Sessions are led by a trained counselor. Co-sponsors are the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Portage County and Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services. Please call in advance to register for the six-week series.

This week's RSVP volunteer opportunity: Would you like to help children in a fun way, such as using puppets to present valuable information? RSVP's BABES, Beginning Awareness Basic Education Studies, is a primary prevention program designed to teach children how to live a happy, healthy, drug- and tobacco-free life. Contact RSVP staff for more information.

1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Beginning line dancing.

1 p.m.: Scrabble, Bridge; oil painting; pottery.

2 p.m.: Intermediate line dancing.

Lunch menu: Hamburger Stroganoff with mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, whole grain bread, peanut butter delight bar.

Tuesday

8:30 a.m.: Seniorobics.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Pool tables open play.

9 a.m.: Wood carving.

9:30 a.m.: Powerful Tools for Caregivers; introduction to acrylic painting.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Holly Shoppe open.

10 a.m.: Healthy eating; Fun & Fit exercise.

11 a.m.: Arthritis Foundation exercise.

11:15 a.m.: Smear at Plover dining site.

12:30 p.m.: Bridge

12:30 p.m.: Bingo at Junction City dining site.

1 p.m.: Beginning bridge lessons; chip carving; continuing Spanish.

1:30 p.m.: LIFE movie series; Cary Grant; Lincoln Center Flyers.

3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Walking Club.

Lunch menu: Meatball sub, seasoned broccoli, blushing pears, oatmeal cookie.

Oct. 2

7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: Walking Club.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Pool tables open play; computers for beginners; resistance chair exercise.

9 a.m.: Living Well.

10 a.m.: Mind Rewind Early Memory Loss.

10:30 a.m.: Play reading.

11:30 a.m.: Music by Roger Nelson.

Noon to 4 p.m.: Resistance chair exercise.

12:30 p.m.: Bingo at Amherst and Lincoln Center dining sites.

1 p.m.: Duplicate bridge; health care advance directives.

Lunch menu: Stuffed green pepper, mixed vegetables, whole grain bread, strawberry shortcake.
