Attending Civil War Weekend at the Wade House is "like going into a time machine and stepping back in time," said 15-year-old Emily Sonntag of Chilton.

The 23rd annual event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Wade House Historic Site, W7965 State 23, Greenbush.

Sonntag has been attending the Civil War Weekend in Sheboygan County since she was born. And her father, Scott Sonntag, is celebrating his 20th year participating in the state's largest Civil War re-enactment. It is his wife Barb's 18th year and son Bill's 13th year. ...
