Workshop on Hmong culture to be held Sept. 27

The Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway has received an $11,000 grant from the River Alliance of Wisconsin to help identify barriers that prevent the area's Hmong population from utilizing the Fox and Wisconsin Rivers for recreational and other uses. To help prepare for the launch of the "Voices of the Hmong Project" initiative, the Parkway is sponsoring a workshop on the history and traditions of this river-oriented culture at the Oshkosh Community Foundation, 230 Ohio St., Oshkosh, on Friday, Sept. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m.
