Waupun police officer promoted

The Waupun Fire and Police Commission along with police management have promoted patrol officer Bradley Brzezinski to lieutenant.

Brzezinski's promotion fills the gap left by former Lt. Bradley Young, who is being held in the Burnett County Jail. Young is accused of leading officers on a statewide manhunt following a crime spree last month. He is charged with several crimes in three counties including burglary, theft and stealing two vehicles.

Brzezinski, who has been a member of the Waupun Police Department since 2003, will supervise the night shift. ...
