Heading into the game, Winnebago Lutheran Academy head coach Bill Heinkel knew that facing Mayville would be a big task because of its size and ability to run the football.

The Cardinals proved that in the first half, running the football all over the Vikings, eventually taking a 7-6 lead up to the 1:36 minute mark of the second quarter.
