Renee Sladek can't jump quite as high as she did last year, and seeing the knee brace that covers the majority of her left leg, it's understandable why.

Still, the Merrill middle blocker might be better in some ways than the player who was an unanimous all-Wisconsin Valley Conference pick the last two seasons.
