The community is cordially invited to attend a Pipe Organ concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay. The program will be presented by Naomi Rowley, principal organist at the church, who has designed a program to delight all ages, featuring organ favorites as well as old tunes, with a few new twists.

A reception will follow the concert and there is no admission charge. A free-will offering will be accepted. For more information, call (920) 854-2988.

Fall sale

This is just a reminder about Shepherd of the Bay's annual fall sale, sponsored by the women of the church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5. The luncheon, chaired by Janet Johnson, featuring chicken salad sandwiches on Pastor Foster's freshly-baked croissants, will be served from 11:30-1:30 p.m.

Unique Christmas nativities, made from a wide variety of materials from developing countries, are a very special attraction. This all goes to help Lutheran World Relief and it is also a great time to start your Christmas shopping.

Milestone

This past week my husband, Glen, and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We were married in Waukegan, Ill., in September 1948. According to my calculations, that is 65 years. Congrats to us!
