The Green Bay Packers have had eight players sustain hamstring injuries since the start of training camp.

Those eight collectively have missed 11 regular-season games and counting, and the list includes three of their best defensive players: Clay Matthews (missed the second half last week), cornerback Casey Hayward (all three games) and safety Morgan Burnett (all three games).

Those are alarming losses in a league in which sports physicians say teams on average have five or six hamstring injuries from the start of camp through the end of the season. ...
