Mosinee woman passes value of service on to daughter

Carmen Engelman learned how to manage her finances from watching her father. Today, she uses those skills to educate people who are financially struggling as the Catholic Charities Project Step Up Coordinator - a job she finds very rewarding.

"I was taught as a child not to waste water or electricity and to this day, people are amazed at how short my showers are," she said.

She has a close bond with her 23-year-old daughter, Kaelee, her only child, who also likes working in social services. The two took classes together at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau and enjoy traveling and ...
