Wis. can do better than Common Core

EDITOR: When are we going to learn that our state can do a better job of educating our children than the federal government?

State Superintendent Tony Evers is wrong to support Common Core standards. The more federal involvement there is in anything seems to make it work less. We should want more for Wisconsin's education system. We need to separate our state from federal mandated standards and do much better for our state's future generations.

Our teachers and administrators can come up with a much better education goal than Common Core and I challenge them to do it. We need to be outstanding not just conforming.
