Fields of Faith event Wednesday night

A local Fields of Faith event for youth to share their Christian faith with fellow students will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Green Bay Preble High School's Gauthier Stadium, 2222 Deckner Ave.

The event, which is being held with hundreds of others across the country on the same day as part of the eighth annual Fields of Faith initiative, will start at 6:30 p.m. It will be moved inside to the gym at Preble in the event of inclement weather.

Students from Preble and Green Bay Southwest high schools are hosting the interdenominational outreach event.

It is structured as a peer-to-peer ministry. Students invite classmates and teammates to meet on a school's athletics field to hear fellow students share their testimonies, challenge them to read the Bible and to come to faith in Jesus Christ.

The event is designed to include multiple Christian organizations, local churches and ministries.
