Boy Scouts work on basic skills

Boy Scout Troop 601 worked on their basic Scouting skills at Camp Maywood near Wautoma on Sept. 20-22. Over the weekend, the scouts improved upon their skills in fire building, cooking, and first aid. They also learned the basics of building primitive shelters at the end of a hike through the woods.

The troop's active program continues into October with the Twin Lakes District Fall Camporee as well as participation in the Scouting for Food service ...
