Guest artist to join CWSO for concert

The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra will perform "To Your Health!" with guest artist Rachel Barton Pine at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 and 4 p.m. Oct. 13 at Theater @1800, 1800 Northpoint Drive. Barton Pine, a world-renowned violinist, will perform Felix Mendelssohn's "Concerto for Violin in E minor, op. 64."

Tickets for the concert cost $10 with student ID, $20 for seniors ages 65 and older and $25 for adults. They are available at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point ticket office in Dreyfus University Center, by calling 800-838-3378 or online at cwso.org/tickets. If seats remain, tickets also will be available at the door.

Ministry Saint Michael's Hospital and the Ministry Breast Care Center staff also will sponsor a special event with Barton Pine from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Theater @1800. Barton Pine will speak about her remarkable career, with its beginnings as a student of the Suzuki method. Students from the Aber Suzuki Center will perform for and with Barton Pine. The event is free and open to the public.
