Since its inception in 1997, the Women's Fund of Portage County has awarded more than $250,000 to 54 local nonprofit groups that assist women and children.

To raise money for its grants program, the organization holds one major fundraiser each year - A.R.T.S. Night: A Reason to Shop, which will celebrate its 10th year on Oct. 15.

More than 40 local artists will showcase and sell their work at this year's event, which will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center in Stevens Point. In addition to the artist booths, a gallery area with fine art items, a cottage market, silent auction, ...
