Listed at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Keegan Bergman might not be the most physically imposing defensive end. But with his speed, he is a perfect fit for the Marathon defense.

A senior and sprinter on the boys track and field team in the spring, he is part of Marathon's undersized but quick defensive unit that has shut down opposing offenses all year.

Marathon (6-0) has not a single point through the first three quarters of its games this season, meaning all 23 points allowed have come in the fourth quarter, when games typically are well in hand. Marathon, which plays Friday in a homecoming game ...
