Jail, probation ordered for high-speed chase

A Fish Creek man who led police on a high-speed chase in spring has been given two years probation and 60 days in jail.

Randall J. Daubner, 45, pleaded no contest Sept. 9 to misdemeanor charges of failing to stop for an officer, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, reduced from first-degree reckless endangerment and endangering safety. Door County Circuit Judge Peter Diltz held open the felony charge of a vehicle operator eluding an officer, accepting a deferred sentence agreement Assistant District Attorney Joan Korb and Daubner's attorney, Rachel Bachhuber.
