Letter: Professor's lecture was an attack on Christianity

Lecture was attack on Christianity

EDITOR: Let's see if I have this right. The Sunnis are killing the Shiites, the Shiites are killing the Sunnis and they both are killing Christians and Jews.

Christian churches are being bombed in Egypt and Pakistan. Christians are being killed just for being Christian. Beheading by Muslims are quite frequent in the news.

With that in mind, consider the spectacle of professor Philip Jenkins' need to investigate the violent verses of the Bible, and Daily Herald Media getting in the act by giving this attack on Christianity free advertising.

Christians are not beheading anyone because they are not Christian, nor are they killing anyone in the name of Jesus Christ. Christianity is not complicated. To these overeducated professors such as Jenkins, take the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount and you have a good start at what Christianity is.
