Ladies are encouraged to attend a variety of activities as part of the "Ladies on the Loose Weekend" in Ripon on Oct. 11 and 12. The event which highlights a variety of activities geared towards women will offer something for everyone. Ladies are encouraged to experience the wonderful shopping opportunities that Ripon provides.
The event begins with:
? Welcome reception and social at Downhill Coffee & Wine Bar, 124 Jackson St., lower level. The event encourages an informal get-together to enjoy a coffee, wine, or microbrew in an intimate setting.
? Watson Street Farmers Market on the Village Green from 7 a.m. to noon kicks off a busy Saturday full of fun events.
? Free Zumba classes courtesy of Curves will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on Griswold St. at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Please arrive early to register.
? Vines & Rushes Winery on CTH E north of Ripon will be featuring a Craft Faire from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., along with basket raffles. Enjoy wine tasting, and $1 off all glasses of wine.
? Crop Paper Stickers will feature a free "make & take," along with a free crop and free scrapbooking all day.
? Ripon Public Library will hold Three informative sessions in the Silver Creek Room beginning at 9:30 a.m. Topics will include finance, insurance, real estate, and healthy lifestyle. The sessions are free and open to the public.
? The 2013 Ladies on the Loose Fashion Show will be held at the Treasury Restaurant, with a social beginning at 11:30 a.m. Fashions from Hamiltons, Only Her, Watson St. Wear, and Diedrich Jewelers will be featured. Price for the event is just $22, which includes a fantastic meal at the Treasury Restaurant.
? Concert: Saturday wraps up with a fantastic performance of the Chicago Gargoyle Brass at Our Saviour's United Church beginning at 7 p.m.
