Rave: If Jordy Nelson wasnít an NFL receiver, he could make a good living as a tight-rope walker in the circus. Game after game, he makes catches along the sidelines, stretching his body while keeping both feet inbounds. On Sunday, it was a big one: 31 yards in the fourth quarter.

Rant: The Packers' first five possessions ended in either field goals or punts, even after reaching the Lionsí 4- and 13-yard lines on two of the drives.

Rave: Are the Packers a run-first team now? Exaggeration, yes, but they went for 180 yards on 33 carries Sunday. Thatís a 5.5-yard average. Eddie Lacy nearly made it three straight games with a 100-yard rusher, gaining 99 on 23 carries.

Rant: Green Bay was called for 10 penalties for 72 yards. One of them, a holding call on Jarrett Boykin, prevented Lacy from going over 100 yards. Another, an unnecessary roughness call on Jerron McMillian, helped Detroit get into the end zone near the end.

Rave: The Packersí offensive line played as well as many hoped it would, keeping Aaron Rodgers clear of one of the best defensive lines in the NFL. The Lions had only one sack and gave up 449 total yards.

Rant: The Packers canít seem to stay clear of injuries. On Sunday, they hit the linebacking corps particularly hard: a torn Achilles tendon for Robert Francois, a thumb injury for Clay Matthews and a hamstring injury for Brad Jones.
