LETTER: America's looming Obamacare disaster

The looming Obamacare disaster

Many sinister aspects of the Affordable Healthcare Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) are being hidden from us. We don't know who drafted that massive government health care takeover act that members of Congress didn't even read before signing. The few good points are the only ones being pushed, and if that was all of Obamacare, would be welcome.

But, within Obamacare lurk massive government intrusions and controls. It requires government expansion with 159 new agencies and tens of thousands of employees. The IRS alone will have 16,000 new employees. Another agency is authorized to create and maintain a massive computer database with everyone's personal medical records that doctors, hospitals and clinics must surrender to the government.

When we get sick and go to a doctor or hospital, they must get permission to treat us from someone accessing Obamacare's medical database. And already as pointed out, if treatment costs too much, it will be denied and we'll die (one Congressman stated: "The only way Obamacare will work is if old people hurry up and die").

Worse, hidden within the Healthcare Act language was the authority to draft enforcement regulations. And at last report, 17,000 new regulations have been drafted. As Nancy Pelosi so stupidly stated: "We must hurry up and sign it so we can find out what's in it". Well, members of Congress found that Obamacare is so intrusive and controlling that they exempted themselves. Unless Republicans in Congress stop Obamacare some way, we'll soon be slammed with those 17,000 new regulations and we'll no longer have control of our health.
