The Green Bay School District will buy two buildings to house student programs as part of its $252 million 2013-14 budget.

The School Board approved the $265,000 purchase of an old Catholic school located at 139 S. Monroe Ave. The building needs $1.5 million in upgrades and will house the district's growing program for gifted and talented students, currently located at Langlade Elementary School.

The board also agreed to spend $395,000 to buy the former Girl Scouts service center at 2430 Finger Road to house the district's programs for students with behavioral issues. ...
