Mother Nature tried all she wanted, but she couldn't stop the city from enjoying the Fourth Annual Oshkosh Oktoberfest Saturday that featured good music, terrific German food and culture, and plenty of beer-drinking events.

The day started with the Oktoberfest 2k Bier Run, where more than 200 thirsty athletes participated in the event that began and ended at Dockside Tavern and used the Oregon and Main Street bridges as well as the new Riverwalk at its disposal.
