Old-time blues band Michael Lee Ammons and the Water Street Hot Shots will perform at the Jacksonport Town Hall Bakery at 7 p.m. Oct. 12.

The Sheboygan-based Hot Shots are a traditional blues string band. Drawing from acoustic musical styles of the 1920s and '30s, their repertoire includes old-time blues, ragtime, novelty and "hokum" party music, featuring slide guitar in the style of masters like Son House and Tampa Red, jug band tunes and string band blues.
