High school girls golf: Growt is state bound again

De Pere sophomore motivated to play well in next week's tournament

HOBART- Megan Growt had company the first time she played in Wisconsin high schools' season-ending girls golf tournament.

When she returns to the Madison area this weekend to get ready for a second straight appearance in the WIAA Division 1 state tournament, Growt's approach will be considerably more personal.

The De Pere sophomore earned a spot as the only state qualifier from the city's two schools by finishing third in the sectional hosted by Notre Dame Academy at Thornberry Creek at Oneida on Tuesday. ...
