Hayward practices but status still unclear

Oct. 10, 2013

Cornerback Casey Hayward was in pads and participated in all drills while the Packersí practice was open to the media today.

Hayward, who has been out for six weeks because of a hamstring injury, didnít practice Wednesday. Last week he also sat out Wednesday and then did individual and group drills in pads Thursday but nevertheless was listed out on the Packersí injury report. This week he wasnít listed as out, so thereís at least a chance he could play Sunday at Baltimore, though the Packers still might consider him a week away from playing in a game and just easing him back after his long layoff.

Six other players didnít practice today: cornerback Jarrett Bush (hamstring), running back James Starks (knee), outside linebacker Clay Matthews (broken thumb), outside linebacker Andy Mulumba (ankle), linebacker Brad Jones (hamstring) and offensive lineman Greg Van Roten (foot).

Starks, Matthews, Jones and Van Roten have been declared out.
