Gardner: Offender OK'd for residency in mobile home park

A registered sex offender who completed probation since 2009 and has not re-offended was cleared by the Gardner Town Board this week to move into a mobile home park in the Little Sturgeon area.

Town Chairman Jon Koch said he was informed by the Door County Sheriff's Department - Koch is a retired sheriff's deputy - that a person convicted of a sex offense in Michigan planned to relocate to a mobile home park along County CC.

Koch said he wasn't told the extent of the offense the unnamed person had committed, but noted the nearly five years that's elapsed since probation ended. ...
