Last week I said I would get you more information on this year's Missoula Children's Theatre's production of "Treasure Island." So here goes. Open auditions for all character and assistant directors will take place on Monday, Oct. 21 at the Waupun City Hall auditorium located at 201 E. Main St. in Waupun. All Waupun area children between kindergarten and 12th grade are encouraged to audition. The auditions will begin at 4 p.m. sharp!
There will be approximately 50-60 children appearing in the play. Anyone wanting to be in the play must be able to attend all rehearsals which will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25. Participant must also appear in two performances of the show, held at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday October 26 at the Waupun City Hall Auditorium. A break for snacks and drinks will be provided at 6 p.m. each day.
The younger children will not have to attend the full rehearsals. Parents and teachers may watch the rehearsals, but must understand that guests cannot disrupt them. All decisions regarding the casting, rehearsals, and scheduling are solely made by the Missoula Children's Theatre staff. There is no fee to participate in the production or the daily food for the cast.
Everyone who attends the performances of the show on Saturday October 26th must purchase tickets to help off set the productions costs.
Tickets are on sale now at Waupun City Hall and Piggly Wiggly in Waupun. Adults $10, seniors $8, children under 16 $5. For more information you can call City Hall at 324-7900 or go online at www.cityofwaupun.org.
Until next week?
