WAUSAU - A Weston home-furnishings store that closed two years ago has gotten a new lease on life in Wausau.

Buttermilk Creek reopened Sept. 7 at 404 S. Second Ave., Wausau, next to the Planted Seed and Katzenbarkers Natural Pet Food and Supplies. The store was located in Weston for 20 years before it closed in 2011, said owner Judy Plischke.

"I just felt the timing was right to reopen the store," Plischke said. "We had kicked around the idea several times since 2011 but I didn't seriously consider it until this summer. It was all meant to be, I think." ...
