Stock the Shelves fundraiser kicks off Sunday

Some area residents will be facing the upcoming holidays with bare cupboards.

That's why area businesses are joining together to fight hunger by helping stock the shelves at five area food pantries.

The goal of the "Do It! Stock the Shelves" challenge campaign is to raise $22,000, said Lowell Johnson, general manager and advertising director of the Herald Times Reporter and Lakeshore Chronicle. The campaign kicks off today and runs through Dec. 1. ...
