HEAD OUT

Volunteers are needed this Christmas season to help ring bells for the Salvation Army-Fox Cities.

More than 18,700 bell-ringing hours are available to help fill shifts at some 50 Fox Cities red kettle sites. In the Fox Valley the Red Kettle season starts on Nov. 7 at 35 retail locations.

The online bell-ringing registration site is now active. One-hour shifts are available at certain locations for those pressed for time in addition to a regular two-hour session.

Last year $1.2 million was raised during the season to help fund year-round programs.

To become a volunteer bell ringer, follow the link at www.safoxcities.org to choose a kettle site and the date and time or call 920-955-1225.
