One out of every three pets will go missing at some point during its lifetime, and despite the affordable availability of microchipping in central Wisconsin, many pet owners still do not have their pet chipped. Of the more than 130 cats that passed through Marshfield's animal control facility in the first nine months of this year, not one single cat had a microchip.
