Professor to discuss Aldo Leopold at meeting

Emeritus Professor Stanley A. Temple will present "Aldo Leopold: Phenology and Climate Change" during the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society's program at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Center, 1519 Water St.

Aldo Leopold, a University of Wisconsin-Madison professor best known as the author of "A Sand County Almanac," was a keen observer of the natural world. Throughout his life, he kept daily journals in which he recorded observations of seasonal events, particularly those that transpired at his beloved shack on a worn-out Wisconsin farm - the setting for many essays in "A Sand County Almanac."
