Door County Child Care Services is celebrating 40 years of providing quality child care in the community-and it has come a long way from its early days with a handful of children in the basement of St. Peters Lutheran Church at 116 West Maple Street.

Now, housed in the old Cherry School building at 3913 Cherry Road in Sturgeon Bay, the center cares for about 80 children with 13 certified staff members.
