Mike Neal didn't participate in practice today, leaving the injury-depleted Packers with just two healthy outside linebackers.

Tight end Ryan Taylor was the other surprise non-participant, since he was not listed on any injury reports after Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Other players not practicing on a 52-degree day at Hinkle Field: running back James Starks, linebackers Clay Matthews, Nick Perry and Brad Jones, and receiver James Jones.

Meanwhile, tackle Derek Sherrod practiced for the first time in nearly two years. He was the only one of three PUP players to practice. Tackle JC Tretter, safety Sean Richardson and defensive lineman Jerel Worthy did not participate.

Also, cornerback Casey Hayward, who has been plagued by a hamstring issue for nearly two months, practiced for the first time on a Wednesday. Hayward hasn't played yet this season and only practiced on Thursday the past two weeks.
