Defensive lineman Jerel Worthy, who blew out his knee in the regular-season finale at Minnesota last season, sounded hopeful last week that he would be able to practice on Wednesday.

But Worthy, along with fellow PUP list players Sean Richardson and J.C. Tretter, didnít practice.

ďIím going to bide my time and be patient,Ē said Worthy. ďThatís up to Ted (Thompson). As far as me physically, Iíve been feeling great these past few weeks. Just whenever I have an opportunity to get out there and showcase my skills, Iím going to be ready to go.Ē

Worthy isnít sure when he will be allowed to practice.

ďTheyíve been kind of keeping me in dark about it, making sure I stay on top of my game, not letting my expectations get too high or too low,Ē said Worthy. ďGot to make sure Iím ready to go. It could be this week, it could be next week, it could be two weeks. Iím not necessarily sure, but on my end Iíve got to make sure Iím preparing as if Iím going to be play this week.Ē

Worthy said he is experiencing no pain with his knee.

ďEverythingís been A-OK on my end,Ē he said. ďBlessed to say I havenít had any setbacks up to this point.Ē

Richardson, who has been nursing a neck injury suffered last December, sounded more vague about a possible return.

ďI have no clue,Ē Richardson said. ďI donít know, havenít heard anything, just sitting and waiting.

ďPhysically, feel great. Mentally, Iím ready to get out there man. Itís been a long time, long journey, Iím just ready for the green light.Ē
