An openly-gay Fond du Lac City Councilman is seeking an anti-discrimination ordinance relating to to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community.

Fond du Lac City Council will meet in a Committee of the Whole workshop at 5:15 p.m. prior to its 6 p.m. regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

"My proposal will add gender identity and expression to the list of protected classes for fair housing and public accommodation," Manning explained. "I'm proposing this ordinance because one in five transgender people in the U.S. have been refused a home or apartment and more than one in 10 ...
