Following are the highlights from coach Mike McCarthy’s press conference after practice today:

*(any update on Neal?) he’s getting better, I’m hopeful he can practice tomorrow. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

*(would you let him play even if he doesn’t practice Friday but he’s cleared Sunday?) Yes, I’d give him the full week.

*(how Sherrod look in pads?) didn’t watch him every play, can’t give much of an answer.

*(James Jones practice tomorrow?) We’ll see, it’s going to be close.

*(What Hyde show as a punt returner?) I think he’s about a natural a returner as far as handling the football that I’ve seen coming out of college. Charles Woodson was very natural and Micah Hyde is similar to him that. He’s getting comfortable in our return schemes.

*(What’s Lacy’s running doing for offense?) it’s about playmaking. The ability to add another playmaker to the offense is important.

*(What think of Hawk, who’s been here as long as you have?) He’s the same guy every day, that’s an extreme compliment for a guy in a professional environment.

*(Might you not have 46 Sunday?) We’ll see. You must have heard Ted (Thompson) and I talk earlier.

*(What would that stress the most if you don’t have 46?) Special teams. And you look at the roster, linebacker is the area we’re stressed.

*(Know when Worthy will practice?) He looks good. He’s getting close but let’s not forget he was injured the last game of the season. There’s a protocol to follow. Group decision, we’ll do what’s best for his interest.

*(Richardson back?) He looks good working out. There’s no decision been made yet.
