Packers list Jones, Neal as questionable for Sunday's game against Browns

Oct. 18, 2013

Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media following Fridayís final practice before this Sundayís game against Cleveland. Here are some highlights from the interview:

- Bush questionable, Hayward questionable, Brad Jones is out, J James questionable, Neal questionable, Matthews out, Perry out, Starks out, Ryan Taylor out.

-James Jones, Jarrett Bush and Mike Neal were all a part of the rehab. If we were to play today, I donít think any of the three would be available. We have 50-plus hours before the game so thatís where we are.

-Thatís where we are at outside linebacker. You plan for every scenario. Weíll be ready to go Sunday.

-Thatís a good question (if you have to suit up 46). Iíve never asked.

-Charles Johnson, fine young man. I wish he was still here. Injured during training camp. Iím very curious to see how this all came about. I donít know if all the facts are in yet. He was obviously under our care and acquired by Cleveland. Thatís probably all I should say, he works for the Browns right now.

-I know injuries have been heavy this year. Itís part of the game. I really just stay true to each playerís situation, how did it happen? Make sure weíre doing all the things necessary to bring a player back.

-Jarrett Boykin and Myles White did a good job. Myles really has done something each day that you feel good about. The preparation part of it will wind down tomorrow. Itís important for all those young guys. We have a little history here of players playing in the first game. I pay close attention to it over course of game.

-Mentally, I trust Jones and Neal. Theyíve been a part of game-planning. Theyíll spend time with trainers and strength coaches. Weíll take a look at them Sunday morning.

-Jordy can play every position. Weíll see what happens.

-I really like our offensive line. Theyíre lining up and practicing together every week and playing together. Thatís a key to becoming a top offensive line. Their communication is seamless.
