Mary Burke, Democratic candidate for governor and former Trek Bicycle Corp. executive, introduced herself to central Wisconsin Friday by highlighting her business experience and humble roots.

Burke, who announced her candidacy Oct. 7, toured the Entrepreneurial and Education Center in Wausau's Business Campus and spoke with employees from Source Code Systems, an online records business that operates there. She also took news media questions, but the event was closed to the public.
