Library lists youth events for fall

The following free events for children and youths are planned at the T.B. Scott Free Library, 106 W. First St., Merrill. Many require registration; call 715-536-7191 for more information.

Lapsit Storytime (ages 12-24 months) 10 a.m. Oct. 3, 10, 24, 31, Nov. 7, in the storyhour room. This free program for children and caregivers includes interactive stories, rhymes and songs.

Toddler Storytime (ages 24-36 months) 11 a.m. Oct. 3, 10, 24, 31, Nov. 7 in the storyhour room. This free program for children and caregivers includes interactive stories, rhymes and songs.

Family Storytime 10 a.m. Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27, Dec. 4, 11, 18, Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29 in the storyhour room. This free program of interactive stories and songs is geared to ages 3 to 5. All ages are welcome. Children younger than 3 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tail Waggin' Tutors from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 28, Nov. 25, Dec. 23, Jan. 27 in the storyhour room. Readers of all abilities are invited to read to Kodie, with owner Kris Smith, on a first come, first served basis.

Reads 'n Reels for grades four to eight from 3:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. includes games, snacks, discussion and a movie inspired by a book. Oct. 18: "The Wizard of Oz." Nov. 4: "The Hunger Games."

Family Story and Craft Event beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 27 in the youth services department. After a short storytime, materials will be available to create holiday or other craft projects. School-age children are invited to participate along with the regular preschool age group. Craft materials and supplies will be available throughout the day.
