The Door County Land Trust invites the public to a free estate planning seminar to be held 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in Vail Hall at Björklunden Lodge, Baileys Harbor.
The "Creating a Legacy: Estate Planning Seminar" is being presented by Grace Rossman, certified financial planner and financial representative at Thrivent Financial, and Richard Hauser, estate planning attorney and partner at Pinkert Law Firm.
The seminar will provide basic information and answers to questions such as "What are the estate planning documents I should have in place? How can I make gifts to the organizations I support and maintain an income stream for myself? Will I have enough income to last the rest of my life?"
Following an overview presentation, Rossman and Hauser will answer questions from the audience. Staff from the Door County Land Trust will touch briefly upon the work of the Land Trust and the important legacy of land preservation.
"We know that the Door County community cares deeply about the future health and well-being of Door County," said Dan Burke, executive director of the Land Trust. "At this seminar we'll explore the win-win scenarios that can help individuals accomplish their personal planned giving goals and non-profit organizations like the Land Trust accomplish ours."
The event is free and open to the public. Coffee, tea, fruit and pastries will be provided. Advance registration is necessary. Interested parties may register at www.doorcountylandtrust.org or by calling the Land Trust office at (920)746-1359.
Those who are unable to attend but who are interested in receiving the shared information should contact Laurel Hauser, director of charitable giving, email@example.com.
