National Fire Prevention Week was Oct. 6-12. This year's theme was "Prevent Kitchen Fires." As in years past, the Brussels-Union-Gardner and Southern Door fire departments teamed up to provide Fire Prevention Education and Safety Information to students in 4K-fourth grade at Southern Door Elementary School and Adventures Child Care Center.
