Sometime ago, the Wisconsin Council of Churches began a program about civility. That initiative was picked up and continued by the League of Women Voters here in Door County.

Some may think that a column addressing the issues of civility and conversation strays too far from the subject matter of faith perspectives, but insofar as civility and civil conversation are necessary for the health and well-being of any given community, faith and religion have an essential perspective.
