After Friday night's prep football action, five area teams had qualified for the WIAA playoffs. Those teams - Fond du Lac, St. Mary's Springs, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Laconia and Campbellsport - anxiously awaited the release of the playoff brackets, which came out midday Saturday, showing who plays who, when, and where.

All area first round games are Friday night at 7 p.m.

Via a 34-19 win over Wisconsin Rapids Friday night at Fruth Field, Fond du Lac is back in the postseason for the first time since 2009. The Cardinals (4-5) earned a 6-seed and will travel to (3) Menomonee Falls this Friday ...
