The home playoff game Wausau West will host for the first time in school history almost didn't come to pass.

After one round of voting during a seeding meeting Saturday morning, West and Green Bay Preble tied for the fourth playoff seed.

Only the top four seeds in each eight-team group are given a home game to start the playoffs. As a result of the tie, West coach Kevin Grundy and Preble coach Paul Donart had to let the other six coaches vote to determine which school received the higher seed. ...
