Editor's note: To assist voters seeking to make a choice in Tuesday's Republican primary for the 69th Assembly District race, News-Herald Media invited each of the four candidates to submit a guest column. Today, we are publishing contributions from Alanna Feddick, Bob Kulp and Scott Noble. A fourth candidate, Tommy Dahlen, did not respond to an email request. Visit www.marshfieldnewsherald.com/opinion to read the rest of the columns.

On Tuesday, you will have the opportunity to choose from four candidates in the Republican special election for the 69th Assembly District. I am asking for your vote on Tuesday to represent you and your issues. My name will appear last on the ballot, but I wish to be your first choice.

I have been an advocate in local issues for many years and am well-versed on them. After spending much time speaking to residents in central Wisconsin, my focus will be to end Common Core State Standards, which are stealing local control of our schools; stop Obamacare which is destroying jobs and increasing your health care costs; and end "smart" growth which is destroying your property rights.

All of these policies are an overreach of the federal government. We can and must stop them at Wisconsin's borders.

Common Core State Standards are a federal takeover of our local schools. You and I want to have the best education possible for our children. We want critical thinking skills taught in our classrooms. Standardized testing should not be the driver of our education system. Local control of schools in Wausau, for example, may be what saved Christmas music there. With Common Core federalized education, our local voices would not be heard. I promise to fight to stop Common Core.

Thought Obamacare is known as the Affordable Care Act, it is anything but affordable. It is killing jobs. There is no incentive for small businesses to offer a 40-hour job. To escape Obamacare regulations, some companies are cutting job hours to fewer than 30 hours a week. In addition, the law is increasing the cost of insurance while decreasing the quality. I promise to fight to stop ObamaCare.

Smart growth slowly and silently has taken over our local governments and is stealing your property rights. It could dictate what you can and cannot do with your property. While these initiatives sound good in the names they were given, they are taking away your individual and property rights. I promise to fight to stop "smart" growth.

I am the only candidate endorsed by both Wisconsin Right to Life and Pro-Life Wisconsin. I am endorsed by the Wisconsin Gun Owners and have been rated AQ by the National Rifle Association.

I ask for your vote on Tuesday because Freedom is a Noble pursuit.
